Thirty years ago, Professor Werner Mohl, cardiac surgeon at the Medical University in Vienna, had a vision. He wanted to develop a technology that would significantly mitigate damage to the cardiac tissue following a heart attack. What was missing though, was the right partner – someone who would know how to create a marketable product from an idea. In Jon H. Hoem, he has found his partner. The PICSO prototype was created in 2007, and with it, a technology with huge potential.
