WILLIAM DEARSTYNE
William Dearstyne spent 26 years with Johnson & Johnson. He was a member of the Medical Devices & Diagnostics Group Operating Committee and Company Group Chairman for all J&J Professional Products companies in the Asia/Pacific region until April, 2003.
From 1990 - 1994 he was Company Group Chairman for J&J Interventional Systems and during this time he launched the breakthrough Palmaz-Schatz Stent that revolutionized the treatment of coronary artery disease. He led two $ 1+ Billion acquisitions for J&J - Cordis and DePuy, both of which now occupy leadership positions in interventional cardiology & orthopaedics respectively.
He brings tremendous experience in managing for growth health care firms of all sizes on a global scale. Bill lives in Europe & the US. He is a Board member of Flamel Technologies (NASDAQ FLML) headquartered in France and of Phonak AG (SWX PHBN) based in Switzerland.
