Fritz was acting CEO for Alantos; Alantos Pharmaceuticals is a Cambridge (US) and Heidelberg located biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of "best in class" small molecule drugs for inflammation and metabolic diseases. Before he joined Alantos he was Senior Vice President Pharmaceuticals Research for Abbott Laboratories, responsible for target identification/validation, assay development and medicinal chemistry in the area of CNS. He led the R&D Activities in the US for BASF Pharma, has extensive experience in clinical development and regulatory issues as well as experience in strategic marketing and Phase IV studies with Knoll AG. Fritz has a PhD in chemistry.
