conject continues to grow – as a result, the Munich software house is substantially increasing its presence. The Dubai team, already in action for two years, is to be expanded with new employees and will soon move into new, prestigious offices in Dubai Internet City, to suitably represent its expansion in the Emirates. Other colleagues are responsible for the Austrian and Eastern European markets. Here the sales specialists, Rüdiger Kauermann and Antun Kovac, have recently come on board at conject.
At all business locations, whether in Dubai, The Hague or Vienna, conject offers the entire range of products and services – amongst others, conjectFM, the established CAFM system with standard software components for the management of real estate, properties and facilities. Or conjectPM, already in use in thousands of projects and in over 40 countries. This is why conject is available in 12 languages, including Arabic, Chinese and Russian Cyrillic; the following three have been recently planned: Turkish, French, Rumanian.
The strong increase in demand for IT solutions for core processes in building and project management is not only visible in the up-and-coming Emirates along the Persian Gulf – the market is also growing substantially in Austria, as well. Ralf Golinski, responsible at conject for CAFM business development, says, “This is particularly true in Austria, for example, for Maintenance, Energy or Rental and Incidental Cost Management.”
How do the markets in these regions look today? In Austria, explains Golinski, there are few providers to this day specialized in CAFM, who have adequate references and, above all, who have sufficient advisory skills to lead demanding customer projects to tangible success within a reasonable period of time. “With Rüdiger Kauermann, we have an experienced CAFM specialist now also in Vienna,” according to Golinski. Kauermann has been working for over ten years in process optimization in Real Estate and Facility Management. For more than four years, he was the head of the CAFM Operations division at VAMED Management and Service in Vienna; most recently he was active as Key Account Manager for Speedikon-Partner in Austria.
At the same time, Antun Kovac is strengthening the conjectPM team – as the contact person for Eastern European projects. The native Croatian headed CAD administration as well as introduction and coordination of Data Management for diverse large-scale projects, such as the Reichstag (Berlin) or the Galata Bridge (Istanbul). From 1996-2002, Kovac was with IFB Dr. Braschel AG in Stuttgart, responsible for projects, such as SC-DRAM300 Infineon (Dresden) or BMW Works (Leipzig). Afterwards, he was managing director for Expansion & Real Estate at Lidl Croatia, responsible for acquisition of properties and planned construction (central storage, markets) for the discounter.
The construction boom in the UAE also shows no sign of letting up, explained Dr. Uwe Forgber, one of conject’s co-founders. “One superlative project follows the other. When experts there discuss the situation,” says Forgber with a smile, “they inevitably use the familiar saying: Only the sky's the limit.”
With headquarters in Munich, conject is also present in Duisburg, Dresden, St. Petersburg, The Hague, Boston and Dubai. The company has set ambitious expansion goals for 2008 – seeking more staff on a large scale. “I’m already here! When are you coming?” is the title of the headhunting campaign, on which you can find more information under: http://www.conject.de/uni-aktion/index.html
