REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – April 17, 2001 – iScribe, a leading developer of handheld technology solutions that enable physicians to efficiently perform routine healthcare transactions at the point of care, announced it has closed $15 million in Series D financing. Led by new investor Earlybird, and joined by previous investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Galen Partners, Domain Associates and other investors, this round of funding demonstrates the continued interest in the physician handheld prescribing and point-of-care services market.

“iScribe’s momentum in the market has been increasing. With the closing of this financing, iScribe named Vera Kallmeyer, M.D., Ph.D., Partner at Earlybird, to the Board of Directors. In joining iScribe\'s board. Dr. Kallmeyer brings with her physician experience as well as a strong European network from Earlybird’s international operations.
